The Official NEET Tie-Breaking Criteria Hierarchy
When multiple candidates secure identical scores (e.g. dozens of students scoring 680 marks), the NTA applies the following strict sequential tie-breaking rule:
- Biology Marks: Candidate with higher marks/percentile in Biology (Botany + Zoology) gets the higher rank.
- Chemistry Marks: If still tied, candidate with higher marks in Chemistry gets priority.
- Physics Marks: If still tied, candidate with higher marks in Physics gets priority.
